Signing off for the week

Momentum is the life blood of any financial market. If the market doesn't move, well, there won't be any potential profit (or loss).

I closed my usd.jpy trade for BE, as this pair clearly has no momentum, and just wafting along aimlessly.

Clearly, the big boys are sitting on their hands, waiting for something to occur, before showing their hands again. I suspect it could be the news that is due to be reported in the later part of the day.

So if the big boys are gun-shy, so will I......especially with today being a Friday.

There's always another trade to catch.

It's Fiday once again, so let's slot in one more trade, before we head off for the weekend.

Cash some chips in

My 2nd portion of the EUR.CAD trade was stopped out for an overall decent profit.

Finally found something to chew on!

Entered this trade while I was sitting beside my daughter's hospital bed (she's there because of dehydration due to frequent vomiting).

Already taken off some profit off the table. Since the overall trend is down, I'll simply leave my original stop point alone, and see if I can ride this down further.

If price goes against me at this point, I'll end up with just a bit of loose change.

Let's see.

Sitting on my hands

This has got to be one of those times where I just could not find any decent setups to trade.

This is also the time when there is a HUGE tendency to "force a trade", seeing non-existent trade setups simply because we just "want to trade"...........kind of like a water mirage in a desert.

I have to remind myself tto be patient during times like this.

Closed the chf.jpy trade with a bit of net gain, when the market reversed.

Closed GBP.JPY trade for a profit. That leaves another Yen pair (chf.jpy) still running.

2 new trades

I don't normally trade two highly correlated pairs at the same time, but I kind of like how they're both setting up.

With correlated setups, you'd get double whammy should they both fail. Thus, making these trades riskier than usual.

As always, let's see if the Yen continues to strengthen itself during the European trading session.

New month's present

Took a quick profit on this trade. I didn't see the Euro boys making a concerted effort to push this pair up, so I bailed out early. It seems to be struggling to get past the 63.5 mark.
